Mandarin Chicken Salad

Mandarin Chicken Salad has got to be the one of the most famous Asian fusion food in the United States. It is so popular that I believe almost everyone knows it and at least tried it before as many big chain restaurants like Apple Bees have this on their menu. This is the picture I took for the deli shop I used to work at. I used to make this salad for customers everyday too. This picture is before mixing so it looks all nice and organized. You can tell what goes on it very easily.

Ingredients: Lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, mandarin orange slices, pine apple slices, Chinese (Chowmein) noodle crackers, sesame seeds, raisins, and chicken breast.

Dressing: Oriental sesame dressing. I think any dressing that is sesame based will do the justice.

It's really easy to make this at home. The only drawback is the cost of red cabbage. It is expensive and does not come in little pieces and comes in usually in a big cannon ball costing around $4 per ball. You don't have to use the red cabbage though. It is more for a decorative purpose.

Today is the Friday so I will be adding some more recipes this weekend. Final exams are approaching at school so I'm afraid I might not update as frequently for next 3 weeks. On a final note, I appreciate you for visiting my blog today. I hope you rock in your kitchen in this weekend! (Or maybe you should go out and eat unlike myself. :P)
